Agreement

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the TeachKeep mobile app, teachkeep.com, and related services provided by Openverse (“TeachKeep,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using TeachKeep, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Who may use TeachKeep

TeachKeep is intended for adults organizing parent-directed or guardian-directed education records. You must be able to enter a binding agreement under applicable law. TeachKeep is not intended for a child to open an independent account or purchase a subscription.

What TeachKeep does

TeachKeep is an organizational tool for household profiles, school years, completed-learning logs, reading-material titles, notes, evidence attachments, history, reminders, readiness checklists, and reports. Features and free-plan limits may vary by platform and version.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• the accuracy, completeness, and lawful use of information you enter;
• choosing the appropriate education, portfolio, evaluation, notice, and filing steps for your situation;
• checking current official sources and district communications before relying on a checklist;
• maintaining independent copies of records you are required or want to preserve;
• reviewing report contents before sharing them; and
• obtaining consent and authority to store or share another person’s information.

Jurisdiction guidance

A supported readiness pack may map app fields to an official source and display a source URL and review date. Rules, interpretations, and local procedures can change after review. “Ready” means the app contains mapped evidence; it does not mean a government body, evaluator, school, or court has approved it.

Local data, exports, and backups

Core records are designed to remain local by default. Deleting the app, clearing storage, losing or damaging a device, replacing a device without an appropriate backup, or using delete controls may permanently remove data. Export and preserve independent copies of records you need to keep.

A PDF or archive is an organizational output based on your data. You must review it for completeness and accuracy. Exporting does not submit the file to a district or evaluator.

Subscriptions and paid features

TeachKeep may offer Household Plus through Apple or Google. Available plans, prices, billing periods, trial eligibility, taxes, renewal terms, and cancellation information are shown before purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled through the applicable store before renewal.

Restoring a purchase requires the eligible store account and successful verification. Deleting records or uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription. We may change paid features prospectively, subject to store rules and applicable law.

Acceptable use

You may not:

• use TeachKeep unlawfully or violate another person’s privacy or intellectual-property rights;
• upload malicious code or interfere with service operation;
• bypass purchase gates, security controls, or reasonable household limits;
• misrepresent a TeachKeep report as a government certification or professional evaluation;
• reverse engineer the app except where applicable law expressly allows it; or
• use TeachKeep branding or content in a deceptive way.

Your content

You retain ownership of records and files you create or import. You represent that you have the right to use, store, export, and share them. You grant us only the limited permission reasonably necessary to process content you deliberately send to support or to a feature that clearly requires transmission.

Our content and license

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use TeachKeep for its intended purpose, subject to these Terms and applicable store rules. Our software, design, branding, original guidance, and other content remain owned by us or our licensors. Official-source materials remain subject to their source terms.

No guarantees

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TeachKeep is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, record recovery, reminder delivery, report acceptance, evaluator availability, compliance, education outcomes, college admission, scholarship eligibility, or any particular legal or financial result.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost records, opportunities, approvals, savings, or profits arising from TeachKeep. Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability will not exceed the amount you paid for TeachKeep in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations. Your non-waivable consumer rights remain unaffected.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using TeachKeep at any time. We may suspend online components when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, service integrity, or a serious violation of these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination remain in effect.

Changes

We may update TeachKeep and these Terms. We will post the revised Terms and update the date above. If a material change requires consent, we will request it as required by law.
